  5. o The main topic of this echo conference is Computer Aided Manufacturing.
  6.   Discussions of software and hardware for this purpose along with tips,
  7.   tricks, third party or shareware software and any form of programming
  8.   for CAD, CAM, CNC or PCB is considered on topic.
  9.  
  10. o Advertisements of products or services by vendors of any type or
  11.   personal ads to sell software or hardware are NOT welcome.
  12.  
  13. o File listings are highly frowned upon but new file announcements that
  14.   would benefit "the topic" will be permitted, within reason.
  15.  
  16. o Product or Service announcements fall under advertisements and are
  17.   not allowed.
  18.  
  19. o Foul or harsh language is not tolerable and will not be accepted. If
  20.   you don't like what someone has to say for personal reasons, send
  21.   them a reply using netmail - not echomail.
  22.  
  23. o Some echoes allow aliases, but I tend not to want them. I think most
  24.   of the professionals here want to KNOW who they are dealing with. I
  25.   prefer full names used in the echo.
  26.  
  27. o This conference is not bound by FidoNet, it's open to any network and
  28.   system that wish to carry the conference. Messages in this conference
  29.   should confirm with the FTSC (FidoNet Technical Standards Committee)
  30.   format and must contain a tear and origin line. The tear line may not
  31.   be longer than 35 characters including the --- characters. The origin
  32.   line must fit on one 80 character wide CRT including the " # Origin:
  33.   " text.
  34.  
  35. o Eight-bit ASCII is not allowed in this conference. All characters in
  36.   displayed message data (text/header) must be in the range 32 to 126,
  37.   which rules out control characters. Control character can be shown as
  38.   ^@ through ^_ for 0 to 31 or any character can be noted as <ascii
  39.   xxx>.

  41. o Offline readers abound and offer system callers an excellent way of
  42.   reading and replying to messages. These readers need to be configured
  43.   to compile with the rule (above) on 8 bit ASCII characters. Make sure
  44.   that your reader is configured to compile with FidoNet's standards
  45.   (in all respects).

  47. o First rule of any echo is leave the moderating to the moderator. I am
  48.   the moderator, if you have a problem with someone, tell me about it,
  49.   don't post flames, etc. in the conference. I will take whatever
  50.   appropriate action I see fit.

  52. o Treat others as you wish to be treated yourself.
  53.  
  54.   Last Rule: Don't be annoying nor be easily annoyed.
